Temporary Return of Quilified Netionals, TRQN II - project
Making a contributin to the reconstruction and development of Georgia
Through TRQN II ION Contributes too the reconstruction and development of Georgia. This is realized by temporarly placing higher educated professionals who originate from that country and live in the Netherlands. The project is demand drive and focus is on capacity building of local organizations in identified sectors.
In linking the needs with the available experience and expertise, IOM the Hague works closely with:
- Its field missions
- Local stakeholders
- Networks of migrants residing in the Netherlands and in other European countries.
IOM acts as as a facilitator and bridge builder between diasporas and organizations in both countries of origin and the Netherlands. During the first phase of TRQN, which lasted for two years until June 2008, IOM assisted 160 temporary return assignments.
For TRQN II-project, IOM closely coorperate with Geogia Foundation / Georgian Diaspora.
Who can participate in the TRQN II project?
The project, which will run until the end of June 2011, is intended for:
- Higher educated migrants who originate from Georgia and are currently living in the Netherlands.
- Public and private sector organizations in the target countries.
How does the project work?
The TRQN II project places qualified nationals (resource persons) in the relevant target country - Georgia, They are chosen based on their qualifications and experience and the specific needs of the target countries - Georgia. The duration of these temporary placements varies from a few weeks to a maximum of three months. A resource person can be placed in the target country one or more times.
Procedure:
-Interested candidates in the Netherlands send their curriculum vitae (CV and a complate application form to IOM in the Huague. On the application form, the candidaate indicates how long and in which disciplne he/he wants to share knowledge or other relevant resources;
-IOM matches the candidates in close coorporation with these organizations;
-IOM offers assistance with both the preparations and the transport of the candidate and during his/her placement in Georgia.
What are the general conditions for participation?
Applicants must:
-Originate from Georgia
-Possess Dutch nationality or Dutch residence permit
-be higher educated and have at least three years of relevant work experience
-have good communicative skills
-be highly motivated
Candidates are preferably experienced in teaching and project based working.
